My outfit: dress (old, love this) | kimono (sold out, similar here)| sandals | sunnies  Isla’s outfit: romper (sold out, love this one) | sandals

These are the last of my outfit photos from Florida. We took these before going to dinner one night. I am obsessed with kimonos over everything for summer. Shorts, tees, jeans, dresses, skirts. How cute is my little sidekick & how pretty is my mama? I get more questions and comments on Isla’s sandals than anything I have ever worn! LOL go figure. Everything is cuter in baby form. But seriously grown women want to know where they can buy them in their size, haha. She also has them in hot pink. I actually just had to order the same pair again in white because we lost of them in a furniture store 😦 I love little rompers on her too. Even though she’s growing so fast she still looks like a baby in them so that makes me happy! I just love my little pumpkin so much!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Sorry for no post yesterday I had a Sunday/Monday funday girls weekend in the city!

I’m happy to announce the winner of the Bezels & Bytes giveaway is Ashley L.! Be on the lookout for some more giveaways coming soon! 🙂

linen chambray dress | bag | wedges | trellis necklace | watch | amelie peach bracelet | eden bangle | sunnies

I am loving light summery dresses recently! This one is darling, I especially love the little bit of open back but not so crazy that I can’t wear a bra with it. The trellis necklace I paired with it is the perfect spring necklace. The colors are gorgeous and would look great with so much. I also wore it on Easter with a lavender dress! The pink satchel I got during the Henri Bendel private sale and love the color. It’s also the perfect medium size. It also has a long strap so you can wear it cross body, which is always a nice option to have!

We got back from Florida yesterday and it was absolutely GORGEOUS there! The weather was perfect. It was hard to come home when we were spending our days swimming and relaxing! But there is nothing like coming home and sleeping in your own bed. I missed our kitties so much too! 🙂 I know Isla is going to be sad not having her cousin Teddy to play with all day everyday!

I can’t even believe this is happening but Isla turns one tomorrow. I am in denial. I can’t believe my baby is getting so big!! We had the best first year together but sometimes I just want to bottle each stage and age up and be able to come back a revisit them. I know that sounds silly but she has grown so much in the last 365 days that it seems crazy just that short time ago she was a tiny newborn and that I was pregnant! Time is a funny thing, the way our mind perceives it, how “fast” we’re always saying it’s going. I’ve learned that as life goes on and gets busier, time only seems to be going faster. That makes it that much more important to stop, recognize, and savor each and every precious moment life has to offer us. I can’t help but feel so insanely blessed to be Isla’s mama. God is so good!!

Thanks for reading today, I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday! 🙂

Hawaii

We had such a wonderful time in Hawaii. There were 10 of us total, my parents, brother, sister and her family. We spent the first 10 days in Kauai and then were going to Maui for the next 8. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because we learned of my grandmother’s passing on the second day of our vacation. It was very sudden so we were all very saddened and shocked. I know she is in a better place now and with my grandpa, but the past couple weeks have been really tough. She was honestly the sweetest grandmother you could imagine. I have only the most amazing memories of her and it makes me cry thinking of her holding Isla and calling her her doll baby. She will be missed tremendously.

Even though we were filled with much sadness we tried to make the best of our vacation. Here are some photos from our trip…

Secret beach we hiked through some private property to get to. Totally worth it!

Overall we had such a wonderful time. I swear sunshine, greenery, and beaches are good for the soul in the dead of winter. I hope you all have a chance to escape somewhere a bit warmer sometime soon! Traveling makes me want to travel more and experience more. I’m already thinking of places we should go next! I have always wanted to go to Greece! Where is your dream vacation? Have you been to Kauai what did you think?

Hope you’re having a great day!
