Dressed down tunic

tunic (old, similar here) | green skinnies (old, love these) | espadrilles (more expensive version here, most expensive version here | crossbody bag | earrings | monogram necklace | watch | druzy bracelet | bangle bracelet | small beaded bracelet

I loove these flats! They are so comfy, don’t break the bank, and look so similar to the high end versions of them. They come in black & leopard too, so if you don’t have a cute pair of espadrilles go get yourself some! Today’s look is all about reworking a piece that is transitional. This tunic is so easy to dress up or down and can be paired with leggings or skinnies. It’s hi/lo so it covers what it needs to and is still flattering.

I’m ready for warmth, less pants, & more dresses!

Have a fantastic weekend! 🙂

Wedgie lovin…

LOL sorry for the funny title, I couldn’t help myself. I just adore wedges for the spring and summer time! They are the perfect comfortable heel to wear with casual sundresses, jeans, shorts, rompers, dressier pieces, pretty much anything! Most of these come in a few other colors too! I personally am really lusting after #5 & #6. I really wanted the Tory Burch ones in the nude color that came out last year but never bit the bullet and now I’m kicking myself because they’re gone everywhere! I have been scouring ebay and poshmark trying to find my size and in decent condition, so far no such luck. But I’m hoping as it gets warmer more will come out of the woodwork, haha. I wish so badly #6 was fully stocked! They only have a few small sizes left, so if you have small feet & love them get em while they’re hot! I did join the wait list, so please Nordstrom restock soon!! I think they are just so cute, I love that they are neutral in color but the cutouts and higher top make them different and so fun! I wish #7 was in my budget cuz they are just so cute & nautical. Sorry for the cray cray price but I couldn’t help including them they’re just perfect! They also come in orange. I tend to go for more neutral colors in wedges so they can be worn with anything, but find myself gravitating toward the brighter coral colors & floral trend right now! They make such a statement.

Which pair are your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Thursday! 🙂

dusty rose military jacket

jacket (old, similar here & here) | striped top (so soft + extra 40% off) | jeans (so so comfy, these are my go to’s & less than $40!) | leopard loafers (old, similar here & another here) | bag (old, similar here (I have this in cognac) & love this! | monogram necklace

If you have been looking for a pair of skinny but not skin tight super comfortable distressed jeans, these are them. I have worn them so. many. times. And can’t seem to stop. They are so insanely comfy and go with anything! They are low so perfect to front tuck a tee as well. I wasn’t crazy about the denim color/acid wash-ness on the bottom so I cuff them. I have said it before but I’ll say it again my go to for denim is H&M, I just think the quality for the price is amazing!

I have a feeling a huge color for spring is going to be blush & I could not more excited about that! My birthday is coming up and I’m currently curating my wish list. Of course there are blush pieces on it, whoops! I’m excited to be able to wear regular flats and wedges too!

Stay tuned tomorrow for a look at some adorable wedges for spring/summer!

Still loving flannel..

jeans (back in stock!) | top (from a local boutique, similar here) | white cardigan ($25 & 3 other colors!) | flats | tote (old, similar) |necklace | watch | earrings

I caved & bought this sweater. It was only $25 and goes with everything! I’m really into textured sweaters this season, they just seem to add the right amount of visual interest to an outfit. And as you can see I’m still digging my flannel shirts. I have a ton of them and just love how comfy & casual they are. They look really cute with jean shorts too for a more country chic vibe.

In other news I’m so excited for House of Cards to come out on Friday!! I seriously love that show. We are currently also watching Breaking Bad (on season 2) I know we are so far behind the times! Another one we love is Shameless on Showtime. It’s pretty rough around the edges, but Emmy Rossum is so good in it.

Also any Bachelor viewers out there reading this? I can’t get over how DUMB this season is & yet I still can’t seem to stop watching… pathetic I know. Is it just me or does it seem like they have gone absolutely no where exciting? Usually the whole group goes to Europe or some foreign country. The dates have all been super odd too, only one or two typical bachelor dates, the rest a little weird. Like a bed in the middle of the badlands? Bizarre. Hopefully they go somewhere tropical and stay in little huts above the water, because come on how could you not fall in love in a place like that? LOL But really I’m anxious to see how the season turns out because I read some spoilers before the season began. Also saw on a tabloid at the grocery store “Bachelor Chris engaged, but in love with another woman!” oh the scandal! We will see!

Oh also did anyone see 50 shades? What did you think? I heard it was pretty bad, would love to know your opinion!

Sorry for the TV show ramble… thanks for reading friends!

chambray + black

Me thinking, “omg it’s so cold, I wish I was on a beach somewhere!”

It was so windy! My hair was going everywhere!

chambray button up | black skinnies | wrap coat | wedges (old, similar) | crossbody (old, similar) | necklace (old, similar) | leopard belt | earrings (similar) | watch | bracelet

We took these photos on one of the coldest & windiest days ever! That’s why my hair is all over the place… not cute, haha. This is an easy fun look with closet staples. A chambray shirt, black skinnies, belt & statement necklace. Because it’s so cold I threw on my Olivia Pope coat. As stores are starting to bring out all their spring merchandise you can start to find some great deals on winter necessities. Getting a winter coat on sale is always great, look for other seasonal items that are usually pricier too, like riding boots. Now is the time to get them on major sale! I know it’s hard for me to justify for myself to spend money on something that I can’t use immediately in the coming season, but you will thank yourself in the fall for scoring that great deal now! Almost all of the women’s coats at Nordstrom are marked down right now. There are some really cute Olivia Pope-esque ones too! Click here to check them out.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Twill Belted Trench Coat

#6 Everyone needs a good pair of white leggings for spring, this pair is awesome. I love the brand and they are thicker and have a denim feel but still stretchy & very comfy!

So as you can tell I’m already so into spring mode. I’m just waiting for the snow to melt! Next week I’m gonna bring you some of my picks for spring and summer wedges. There are so many cute ones out! I love a good wedge. I’m heading to the city tonight to go to the Tickled Pink event. It is a breast cancer prevention fundraiser. I went a couple years back with my girlfriends and we had so much fun! So tonight I’m looking forward to a fun girls night out! Follow me on Instagram to see our shenanigans. What are you up to this weekend? Whatever you’re doing I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for reading!

Shirt dress

dress (old, similar) || vest (old, similar) || boots (old, similar) || earrings || necklace

A shirt dress is a great staple for every girl’s closet. Especially in a classic color like white or blue. It can be dressed up or down, making it work for spring, fall, & winter. Depending on the season you can accessorize accordingly. I decided to pair it here with a faux fur vest and riding boots for a warm yet casual look. I love this faux fur vest and although it is old and no longer available I linked one that is very similar & a great price!

I am SO looking forward to spring! If you haven’t noticed recently I have been focusing a ton on transitional pieces of clothing that will work now layered up and into some warmer weather alone. I miss taking walks and enjoying the sunshine! I love where we live but sometimes wish we could have nice weather all year round. If California could just give us their weather here, that’d be great!
