So I failed to take a lot of photos on Christmas with my good camera. I did get a few though and some on my iphone. The Sunday before Christmas Isla and her cousin Teddy met Santa! It was so cute. I thought she would be terrified but she did pretty well!
I also hosted a Christmas brunch for some of my old co-workers, which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of the food, too many mimosas maybe.
Each guest’s place setting had a mug and homemade hot cocoa mix as my little Christmas gift to them. The mugs are here, homemade hot cocoa mix recipe here. I made baked french toast and an egg strata, the baked french toast is always so good I’ve made it many times before. Find that recipe here.
After we walked the Morton Arboretum’s Illumination, I had my very own little Rudolf!
Adorable chair Isla got as a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Burke
My gift wrap assistant ate the ribbon
Everything is better when you’re wearing a leopard beret

Modeling our gifts
Kevin taught her to stick her tongue out and she does it all the time now haha
She honestly would have been happy with just a paper towel roll for Christmas!
Isla and her cousins Corban and Mara on Christmas morning
I’m sad we didn’t get photos of Isla and her cousin Teddy. He had the flu, poor thing felt awful. We were nervous Isla might catch it right before we leave for Hawaii, so they didn’t really get to interact on Christmas day 😦
Overall we had a wonderful Christmas. I hope your Christmas was blessed and filled with love and family!
